The mission of the Human Resources Department is to recruit, hire, train and help retain qualified staff for Tribal government operations and to provide personnel services that meet departmental needs in a manner consistent with LIBC priorities and Native Preference goals.

The Employment Training Center offers a variety of services in support of training, education, and case management services for gainful employment opportunities to Lummi community members, consistent with building on their strengths and abilities. Services include: General Assistance (GA), Native Employment Works (NEW), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

The Vocational Rehabilitation Program is designed to provide comprehensive vocational and rehabilitative services to Lummi Tribal Member and Native Americans living on the reservation who have a medical, physical, emotional or cognitive condition which interferes with their success in employment. Services may include, but are not limited to therapeutic services, training, technical assistance, transitional support and several additional support services as well.
